Dubois County PRIDE's first Pride Festival took place on June 18, 2019, at the Jasper Pool after being organized in just a few short weeks by members of ONE-Dubois County. The overwhelming community support established the festival as an annual tradition. While the 2020 event was canceled due to the pandemic, the festival returned stronger than ever in 2021 and has continued to grow each year—from approximately 400 attendees in 2021 to more than 1,200 attendees by 2023.
In 2023, Dubois County PRIDE became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by a Board of Directors. Today, the annual Pride Festival at the Jasper Riverwalk brings together hundreds of community members, local businesses, nonprofits, entertainers, and supporters to celebrate inclusion, connection, and belonging, with attendance, vendors, and programming continuing to expand each year.
